Bring or rent a tent, and stay the weekend! Or stay at one of our neighboring lodges or hotels.
You can also arrange transport from the airport or a nearby city.
In addition to the festival itself, the Kili Trails race village offers restrooms, hot water showers, and basic security. Bring the whole family and celebrate the outdoors.
Camping Details & Fees
Camping is now free with paid day entry.
$15 per adult (18 &over) per day
$10 per youth (11-17) per day
FREE children 10 & under (but do require registration)
Discounted advance purchase entries are available:
Full weekend pass → $35 adult (youth $24 / children U11 free)
Two-day pass → $27.50 adult (youth $18 / children U11 free)
*Discounts are available for schools, running clubs, and/or corporate groups of 20 or more people. For more details, see our registration page.
Camping Information
Festival entry includes access to the campsite, restrooms and hot water showers, basic security, and all bed levy fees and taxes.
Entry does NOT include tent rentals.
All campsites will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
Pets, outside alcohol, and personal open fires are NOT permitted at KTF.
Live and/or loud music will end by 10pm on Friday night and 11pm on Saturday night, though music may continue to be played at lower levels until midnight. Please situate your campsite accordingly (read the following bullet point).
There IS an upper (and separate) campsite available as an option for families with small children or those who want a quieter location.
Tent Rentals
Tents are available for rent as an add-on during the registration process — until 24th January only.
Rental tents will be ready for you upon arrival, complete with mattresses.
Standard tent w/ 2 mattresses: $30 per night
VIP tent w/ cot bed, mattress, pillow and duvet blanket per person + chair at entrance: $85 (single or double)
Sleeping bag: $7.50 per night (not needed with VIP tent)
Event Transportation
Kilimanjaro Trails Festival is now operating private transfers to and from the race village at Simba Farm in West Kilimanjaro.
You will be provided a one-way vehicle and driver with your booking.
Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) or Moshi town:
6-seat (Alphard / Noah) — $110
10-seat (Hiace) — $150
Arusha:
6-seat (Alphard / Noah) — $140
10-seat (Hiace) — $180
Transfers are available as an add-on at checkout (until 24th January only), where you’ll provide your pickup location and time, as well as a WhatsApp number for communication.
